Iceberg Water, a pure active ingredient protected from pollution

Eau d'Iceberg is first and foremost original water ofincredible purity. Icebergs, these mountains of ice, were formed thousands of years ago, when pollution was still a thing of the past. The water trapped in these icy blocks has thus survived the passage of time to reach us without being denatured, and without losing its natural richness. This is quantified by the TDS ( Total Dissolved Solids) index, which measures the total suspended solids in the water, giving us an indication of its purity. Glacier water reaches 9 mg/l, compared with 50 to 400 mg/l for conventional bottled mineral water: the figures speak for themselves!

Iceberg Water, an ethically and naturally harvested active ingredient

Our priority is to offer you effective, high-quality skin care products that provide the perfect hydration to keep your skin radiant and beautiful. But not at any price! The Far North environment has so much to offer us that we want to preserve it as much as possible, and harvest its precious active ingredients ethically and responsibly, with respect for the environment. With this in mind, we have drawn up a strict charter for harvesting our active ingredients, in order to act in a sustainable way, without sensitizing nature.

The Iceberg Water used in Polaar skincare is collected in Canada, at the confluence of Hudson Strait and Dreviews Strait. It comes from chunks of ice that have broken off from pack ice or glaciers. These pieces of ice float on the surface of Arctic waters, drift south and melt naturally. Only a tiny fraction of the ice is harvested, and only within a very specific timeframe, since the "harvest" only takes place between May and July, before the smallest pieces dissolve completely in the sea water.

Iceberg water: benefits for the skin

To integrate this super-ingredient into our formulas, and return it to you in all its purity through our skin care products, we have developed a unique process which involves encapsulating it in liposomes. Liposomes are small, spherical particles that protect the active ingredient while preserving its properties, and deliver it to the heart of the cells for optimal penetration. In this way, encapsulated Iceberg Water acts like a micro-patch of intense hydration, replenishing your skin with water in a single gesture.

Eau d'Iceberg, the flagship ingredient in our Aux Sources des Glaciers range

Iceberg Water is the flagship ingredient of our new range ICE SOURCErange, designed to intensely moisturise, oxygenate and plump up the skin. Did you know that your body is 65% water? And that every day it is subjected to numerous aggressions (wind, sun, showers that are too hot, cleansing products that "strip", etc.) that damage the hydrolipidic film, thus causing a loss of water? Without a sufficient supply of water, the skin's balance is upset and the first consequences of this dehydration appear: lack of radiance, roughness, loss of elasticity, discomfort, premature skin ageing... A little help is then needed to regain a beautiful, soft, supple and luminous skin!

This skincare range has been formulated to provide your skin with concentrated hydration. We've combined three active ingredients:Iceberg Water, of course, but also a micro-algae, Thalassiosira Antartica, which restores the hydrolipidic film and combats dry skin. High-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid retains water on the skin's surface to maintain optimal hydration.

You'll find them in the range's three skincare products: Moisturizing Cream, Moisturizing Jelly and Super-Moisturizing Mask.

Moisturizing Cream is the cream for the thirstiest skin. It has been specially formulated for normal to dry skin. Thanks to encapsulated Iceberg Water and Thalassiosira Antartica extract (an ultra-nourishing micro-algae), it replenishes your skin with water, promotes cell renewal and brings comfort and suppleness to dry skin. Its creamy, non-greasy texture is perfect for quenching thirsty skin and providing intense hydration for 24 hours.

Le Gelée Hydratante, with its fluid gel texture, is recommended for combination to oily skin. With its light, delicate fragrance, it matifies, tightens pores and gives the skin an infusion of freshness, while replenishing it with water for 24 hours. It's also an excellent make-up base thanks to its high-molecular-weight Hyaluronic Acid content: it penetrates quickly, leaving no greasy or sticky film!

To complete your beauty routine, you can opt for Ultra Moisturizing Mask once or twice a week: a real hydration booster, it plumps up dehydrated skin, and its fresh, creamy texture brings concentrated hydration to your epidermis in a single step. The little extra? For an even more intense treatment, it can be applied overnight to infuse your skin while you sleep. A healthy glow and radiance are guaranteed when you wake up!
